Multi Protocol 8000 Modules

The M8K module can be one of many protocols that is used on a variety of platforms for the 8000 Multi Protocol Board.

MIL-STD-1553

M8K1553Px & M8K1553PxS modules are compatible with all common variations of MIL-STD-1553 (A, B). Each M8K1553Px multi function module can operate simultaneously as a Bus Controller and up to 32 Remote Terminals and as a Triggerable Monitor. In addition, error injection (BC and RT modes) and error detection (all modes) are supported on each module.
Each M8K1553PxS single function module operates either as a Bus Controller, Remote Terminal, or Bus Monitor.

MIL-STD-1760

M8K1553Px(S)-1760 module is identical to the M8K1553Px(S) module but in addition, Checksum, SRQ bit and Header Words are supported.

1553 MCH

M8K1553MCH module supports both MIL-STD-1553A and MIL-STD-1553B protocols and may be programmed to operate as a Bus Controller, Remote Terminal, Bus Monitor, or Remote Terminal / Concurrent Bus Monitor. The 32K x 16 of RAM allotted to each module for the storage of data and control parameters may be updated in real time. ***NOW A LEGACY PRODUCT***

MMSI

M8KMMSI module supports up to 5 MMSI hub ports and composite Bus Monitor output. Each module can operate in one of three modes of operation: Remote Terminal, Bus Controller/Concurrent-RT/Concurrent Monitor, and Bus Monitor.

H009

M8KH009 modules may be programmed to operate in one of three modes of operation: Central Control Complex (CCC) mode with Concurrent Peripheral Unit operation (1–16 PUs), Peripheral Unit mode (Multiple – up to 16 PUs) and Bus Monitor mode. In addition, the module can simultaneously operate as an independent Internal Concurrent Monitor in CCC, Multiple PU or CCC/Concurrent PU modes.

ARINC-429

M8K429RTx module supports up to five ARINC-429 channels in any combination of transmitters and receivers. Each of these channels feature error injection and detection capabilities.

ARINC-708

M8K708 module supports up to two ARINC-708/453 channels for the Weather Radar Display Databus. Each channel is selectable as transmit or receive and implements an 64K word FIFO and supports polling and/or interrupt driven operation.

ARINC-717

The M8K717 is an intelligent ARINC 717 interface module for the multiprotocol Excalibur 8000 family of carrier boards. The module supports two ARINC 717 receive channels and two transmit channels.

825 CAN

The M8KCAN is an intelligent multichannel ARINC 825 (CAN bus) interface module for the multiprotocol Excalibur 8000 family of carrier boards. The module supports up to 4 ARINC-825 channels.

Serial

M8KSerial module supports up to two independent channels of serial communications, each of which can be selected as RS-485, RS-422 or RS-232. The module operates independently of the host computer, reducing the need for host intervention.

Discrete

M8KDiscrete module provides a complete solution for developing and testing discrete voltage-level interfaces. The module contains control I/O registers that are memory-mapped and may be accessed in real time and supports twenty programmable I/O discretes that can record or control the external discretes that are connected to it.

AD-DA

The M8ADDA is a multichannel digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital interface module for the multiprotocol EXC-8000 family of carrier boards.
