Expected for final release Q4 2025
The M8K664 is an intelligent double-sized ARINC 664 Part 7 (AFDX) interface module for Excalibur’s 8000 family of multiprotocol carrier boards. The module has two AFDX dual redundant ports that are configurable as one full-duplex or two independent ports.
The M8K664 Module supports two receive networks and two transmit networks. The receive and transmit functions are completely independent and may be used as a dual redundant network or independently.
Transmit functionality includes defining Virtual Links (VLs) and subVLs. VLs can have assigned maximum sizes and Bandwidth Allocation Gaps (BAGs.) SubVLs are associated with Sampling, Queuing and SAP ports. The user may simulate VLs from multiple End Systems (ESs).
Two methods for receiving messages are available.
In sequential monitoring mode all packets are stored in the order in which they are received. The user may select on a VLid basis which packets to store with data, which to store header only and which not to store at all.
In VL based monitoring mode packets are stored based on the VLid and port address to which they are addressed. Queuing and SAP messages are reconstructed if they are sent in multiple packets and the user may select to store multiple buffers for these message types.
It is recomended to purchase our ExaltPlus along with the M8K664 module, Excalibur’s Analysis and Laboratory Tools, a Windows monitoring application.
