The EXC-8000PCIe/xx card for the PCI Express bus supports up to sixteen Serial channels using the M8KSerial2 module. This module supports up to two independent channels of serial communications, each of which can be selected as RS-485, RS-422 or RS-232. The module operates independently of the host computer, reducing the need for host intervention.
Each channel has a programmable baud rate of RS-232 up to 3 Mbps and RS-422 or RS-485 up to 4Mbps .
The EXC-8000PCIe/xx is supplied with C drivers, including source code.
Mating connectors and cable adapters for I/O connection can be purchased seperately.
