The EXC-8000cPCI/xx 3U card for Compact PCI, supporting 32-bit modules, supports up to 12 ARINC-717 channels. All of the channels feature error injection and detection.
The M8K717 is an intelligent ARINC 717 interface module for Excalibur’s 8000 family of multiprotocol carrier boards. The module has one receive channel and one transmit channel, and supports HBP or BPRZ encoding. In transmit mode, the module sends the four subframes from a pre-defined buffer in dual-port RAM. In receive mode, the module stores all subframes with status and Time Tag information appended to each subframe.
The EXC-8000cPCI/xx is supplied with C drivers, including source code and may be used with Exalt, Excalibur’s Analysis and Laboratory Tools, a Windows monitoring application.

"xx” specifies the modules ordered with the carrier board.
"-E" added to the end of the part number specifies extended temperature (-40° to +85°C) option.
"-001" added to the end of the part number specifies conformal coating option.
