Excalibur's Serial Simulation Laboratory is a Windows based GUI tool that enables the user to send and receive serial packets using the M4K or M8K Serial module without the need for programming. The user defines message formats of NMEA or standard serial packets via an Excel spreadsheet. The user can select a schedule on which to transmit messages and can record incoming messages to the screen or to a file in human readable format.
The Serial Simulation Laboratory enables you to:
• Transmit messages on the Serial bus.
• Receive messages and view the engineering units within each message.
• Monitor the Serial bus.
• View and save a log of the transmitted and received messages.
