The board supported up to 4 user selectable communication channels, including ARINC-429/419/561/568/575/582, RS-232, RS-422, RS-423, and RS-485. An on board processor and dual port RAM handled the reception and transmission of data, reducing the need for host intervention. The receiver channels allowed storage of all or selected data. The transmit channels operated via an instruction stack which was used to schedule outgoing messages.
