These boards supported all common variations of MIL-STD-1553 (A, B, F-16, McAir). The EXC-1553PCI/EP could operate simultaneously as a Bus Controller and up to 32 Remote Terminals or as Triggerable Monitor. The EPM version added a Concurrent Monitor and could operate in all three modes simultaneously. The EPMI operated as the EPM with the added ability to monitor two separate dual-redundant buses, simultaneously. Error injection (BC and RT modes) and error detection (all Modes) were supported by all cards. The boards were supplied with C drivers, including source code, and Merlin Windows software.
