These boards supported all common variations of MIL-STD-1553 (A, B, F-16, McAir). The EXC-1553PC/HC-V could operate as either a Bus Controller or Remote Terminal or Bus Monitor. The 16K bytes of on-card dual port RAM used for storage of control parameters and data may be updated in real time. The boards were supplied with C drivers, including source code, and Merlin menu driven software.
