The DAS-429cPCI/Mx could be ordered with up to 2 ARINC-429 interface modules, each containing 4 receive and 2 transmit channels, for a maximum of 12 channels. The board provided a perfect solution for developing and testing ARINC-429 interfaces and for performing system simulation and monitoring of the ARINC-429 bus, both in the lab and in the field. A 32 bit processor allotted to each 6 channel module reduced the need for host intervention during transmission and reception.
